SCROLLING WITH
STEPH SHEP

The Future Earth co-founder and present-day icon chooses her favourite Instagram moments.

She’s the co-founder of our favourite climate club, best friends with Kim K and has one of the finest feeds we’ve ever feasted our feverish eyes on. Naturally, then, we had to kickstart the Scrolling series online with Steph Shep. To get you up to speed, our new feature sees our favourite influencers, tastemakers, it-people and socialites scroll right to the bottom of their own feeds and choose their top posts, penning a few words on why each moment mattered.

Considering we follow Steph more assiduously than our own shadow follows us, it made sense to get her to take the challenge. If you (somehow?) are unaware of her, she first hit the public eye by being Kim’s inimitable, instantly lovable executive assistant. Since then, she’s become an unstoppable presence on Instagram, and co-founded the most visually exciting climate club to exist, Future Earth. Set-up as a free-for-all platform, it produces sharply-researched, beautifully-designed content to educate you on all things eco, from fossil fuels to climate feminism to marine life – go follow it here. Take it away, Steph!

That’s my best friend.

“I facetimed my best friend @jessicacurrie one morning and was like “cool shirt” haha you gotta have friends who will keep you grounded.”

My Early 20s.

“I love this pic— it was one of my very first IG posts. Pre-covid clearly. I was in my early twenties without a care in the world. I like to remember her and I try to harness that energy when I feel like I’m putting too much pressure on myself.”

Betting on myself.

“This pic is from a J brand store front. It was my very first collaboration and my first job after leaving KKW. It was a really big moment for me to step out on my own and start working for myself! “

Say Less.

“I have a love-hate relationship with the internet. I try to have a thick skin when it comes to online bullies but I just can’t help but get my feelings hurt. I’ve learned to keep most things close to home and I have become more particular about what I share. The internet is a weird place to exist and I’m still sorting it out.”

Puppy Love.

“This is a pic from lockdown back in 2020. I rescued my puppy Binx and it was the absolute best decision I ever made. He is 1000% my emotional support animal.”

POTUS.

“I had the incredible opportunity to interview President Biden before he got elected! We sat down via zoom to talk with the LCV about the climate crisis and the commitments his administration would make if he were to be elected. Super cool, super nice guy, bucket list moment x 100. This really catapulted @futureearth’s Climate Talk series!”
