TMRW illustrator Sprankenstein visited Israel with a clear objective and purpose.
“I took a 35mm point and shoot camera and 5 rolls of film to Israel on a whim with the idea that I wanted to snap as I see it and that I’d see and create another world on top of the images. Hyper aware that the media and our thoughts, subconscious or not, tend to think of the region in a negative light, I wanted to portray what is normal in Israel, especially Tel Aviv and daily life in Jerusalem – not what we are spoon fed. Some of the images I captured are controversial in a way but by playing with collage and illustration, I tried to create parallel universes and just have a little fun with it.”
