It’s Friday night in Peckham and dozens of young faces are lined up on Rye Lane.

A hub of the local emerging music scene, Bussey Building is loved by many. Tonight, Peckham/New York-based radio station Balamii has teamed up with revered chicken shop chain Morley’s to put together a showcase of South East London’s finest exports.

Against the backdrop of the converted cricket bat factory where the smell of freshly fried chicken flowed through the air, Balamii x Morley’s 2018 featured a range of artists including headline act Oneman b2b El-B, Chaos in the CBD, Maxwell Owin & Joe Armon-Jones and countless more. Spread across three levels, the event represented the sheer diversity of these young creators, equally gifted in their own right.
