I am not a man about town.
I am a man, granted, and in London – my home – I have near-unlimited access to the UK’s premier town. Yes, I am often about it, but no, I am not a man about town. To be a man about town is to be more than a male in settlement larger than a village; it is to transcend you – and your xy chromosomes – blindly navigating the streets of innercity Britain, male reproductive organs and all. It is a title one earns, through style and success; a trophy that few ever lift. Honestly, I’m fine with it.
But wait a second. Hold your horses. For all is not lost, fellow beta males. Not even a little bit. Because now, thanks to Carl Friedrik, we’ve all been handed a lifeline. Thanks to their new, exclusive line of backpacks, bags and holdalls, we can all be that dual blend of sharp, slick professional and outright fashionista that we were born to be. Made in Portugal and priced at £265 – £295, it’s the natural vachetta leather that you never knew you needed, but almost definitely did.
