It’s a match made in Ealing
Citadel Festival has just unveiled more of its line-up for this year’s edition – the first since moving from East London to Ealing’s Gunnersbury Park – and it included Scottish pop trip CHVRCHES, soul act Leon Bridges as well as the Horrors and tmrw favourite Dermot Kennedy.
Tame Impala’s slot will be a UK exclusive, as well as the heaviest indication yet that the psych-rockers are ready to finally follow-up 2015s Currents.
Frontman Kevin Parker has also been busy these past few years, he helped write Lady Gaga’s glam-rock comeback ‘Perfect Illusion’ and he’s been hitting the studio with Mark Ronson for SZA’s second record too.
CHVRCHES have also made a big comeback – the Greg Kurstin produced ‘Get Out’ was released this month as the first taste of their third studio album, which we now know is fabulously titled Love Is Dead.
Other acts exclusive to Citadel in London this year also include Fat White Family, La Femme, Leon Bridges, HONNE and GOAT.
Citadel will take place this year on Sunday 15th July at Gunnersbury Park in Ealing.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now, but you better act fast because the 1st release has already sold out.
