Guess who’s back, back again,
You heard correctly, we’ve got the third instalment of the CloseUp Promotions x tmrw quarterly new music showcase returning to Thousand Island in North London on September 20th.
Liza Owen doesn’t hold back, and we love it. Her soulful voice and funky beats are a recipe for a sick night. Her new track, ‘Polite’ came out on August 24th and it’s a perfectly blended banger. It’ll make you want to stay in, it’ll make you want to go out. “Sipping on champagne like it’s New Year’s Eve / getting lost in your eyes you got those emerald greens / looking at me like I’m the baddest thing that you ever seen / tell me everything you like / don’t be polite about it”.
We’ve got Sølv, who’s latest EP ‘Codeine’ will have you doing that gentle sway side to side that good music makes you do. With her magic and mellow tunes, you’re gonna wanna come down to check out this dark-pop temptress perform.
Last but not least, Kid Cupid will be tearing up the stage at Thousand Island on the 20th. The quartet’s latest release ‘Unholy Ceremony’ is an anthemic alt-pop EP, full of pulsating rhythms, glitchy electronic hooks, and gloriously harmonising vocals.
If all this sounds like a piece of you, grab tickets to the third quarterly CloseUp x tmrw showcase from DICEfm here.
Order your tickets now for a simple £7, and join us for an evening of beers ‘n’ great music.
See you there.
