On February 22nd, tmrw magazine & CloseUp Promotions debut show collaboration takes place at Thousand Island in North London.
As two leading musical and cultural tastemakers intermix for the first in a new quarterly live series aiming to celebrate the most exciting emerging musical talents from both the UK and further afield.
The first line-up brings Cape Cub, BROOKFIELD & Edwin Raphael together, artists that have all previously been championed by both tmrw, CloseUp or the two outlets combined. CloseUp and tmrw both have much experience when it comes to live music, and the premise of these unique new quarterly live shows is simply to showcase just a few of the artists both brands recognise as some of the highly promising artists within the music industry, and to bring musically suited artists together for an absorbing and well-rounded gig going experience.
Cape Cub’s unique brand of dream-pop has seen millions of streams descend upon his music, and as 2018 continues, so does Cape Cubs inevitable continuation of his ascendancy to the top. Make sure to look out for the particularly hook laden ‘Swim’, as well as many others in his already impressive back catalogue. This will be Cape Cub’s biggest London headline yet since his formation, and explosion onto the scene in 2015, so don’t miss out.
London’s own BROOKFIELD will also perform at the debut CloseUp x tmrw showcase this February, the brit school graduate has slowly built his profile into one of the capitals most exciting solo musical prodigies. Previous release Kaleidoscope oozes with delicate layers and soaring vocals, the perfect embodiment of the BROOKFIELD sound.
Hailing from Montreal, Edwin Raphael started making waves in 2015 with his debut EP Summer. Performing his first London show, expect captivating melodies and intricate guitar afoot as CloseUp & tmrw celebrate some of the most exciting national and international artists on Feb 22nd.
Tickets to the first quarterly CloseUp x tmrw showcase are available from DICEfm.
