Just like a double A-Side record, this brand aim to offer on-point basics along with satisfyingly surprising pieces. Double A-Side was founded by Andy Auld. As well as creative director and designer, Auld attributes himself with the roles of tea-boy and postman while he runs the brand from a spare room in his house. With no design background, the self-deprecating head of Double A-Side has created some pretty impressive and cohesive collections of unisex clothing.
The SS ’16 collection from Double A-Side features classic cut t-shirts with an Instagram themed motif and monogrammed sports luxe sweatshirts with the brand’s initials ‘D A S’ embroidered into the breast. Cropped gilets and well-fitted track bottoms integrate easily with Double A-Sides clean t-shirts in pleasing hues. Their staple pieces include perfectly formed denim jackets and reversible outerwear that can be worn from rainy festival to sunny garden party this summer. Double A-Side is not quite streetwear, but hits somewhere close with an understanding of silhouettes, trends and basics that can be easily updated.
