An evening with: London Grammar

London Grammar returned to London for another sold out show at Brixton Academy.

It was a show which quite frankly left me and what felt like the crowd speechless, Hannah Reid’s captivating vocal performance produced a unprecedented atmosphere throughout the show as the band played through hits from their first album such as ‘Hey Now’, ‘Stay Awake’ and ‘Wasting My Young Years’ accompanied by songs from their new critically acclaimed album, Truth is a Beautiful Thing.

Playing in front of a minimalist lighting/visual set up, both instrumentalists Dominic “Dot” Major and Dan Rothman seemed locked and focused, reimagining the polished album tracks to grand, extended versions. Somehow, the 5000 capacity venue was made to become a small intimate setting with the near silent crowd in awe throughout of the showstopping, beautiful performance by Hannah.
