Nick Mulvey returns to Edinburgh to celebrate the release of his second studio album, Wake Up Now.
Upon arriving on stage he jokes with the crowd as he apologies for not playing a show in Scotland for a while. Playing a mix of old songs like ‘Fever To The Form’ and ‘Cucurucu’ to his newest – ‘We Are Never Apart’ and ‘Unconditional’, with total confidence, he smiles and laughs the whole way through his set.
Mulvey creates a real story, telling the crowd the meaning behind the songs – ‘Imogen’ being about his feeling upon seeing the scan of his first child; ‘Myela’ being an urge to act on the refugee crisis. This makes the set even more special.
