[RECAP] Field Day 2016

This year the return of Field Day Festival in Victoria Park also collided with typical British summer weather. Rain and mud did nothing to dampen spirits though, and at times enhanced the festival experience, creating drama and atmosphere to an incredibly varied line up.

Headliners James Blake and PJ Harvey received a great reception from those that survived the downpours, whilst the grime acts on the bill, Skepta and Novelist, were also popular. Beach House filled the Shacklewell Arms tent and provided the mysterious and stunning set that people were expecting, polar opposite to the energetic sets from Declan McKenna and Adam Green. Problems with the sound, timing and weather did nothing to put people off what was a really well put together collection of music.
