We’re big fans of the people over at COS.
When they’re not keeping busy making lovely clothes, they’re getting involved all kinds of interesting art collaborations. Their latest, with New York collective Snarkitecture, sees them in South Korea at the Gana Art Centre, Seoul. The result is a Loop, a huge, immersive instillation consisting of four distinct metal tracks and the steady hum of 100,000 – yes, 100,000 – marbles. Inevitably, it’s fucking great.
Daniel Arsham, Snarkitecture co-founder commented: “Our intention was to create a contemplative environment with Loop – a space that was not immediately understood upon entering. While we wanted the design to be playful, we were mindful of creating a work that provided an escape. It was important to offer a setting and feeling that were completely new and inspiring to visitors.”
