Australian wunderkind Kita Alexander is making waves in her home country. In the video for new single Damage Done, she’s surfing them, too.
The track is a sun-soaked piece of pop music that takes the after-party straight to the beach. Filmed on location at a sun-soaked Byron Bay, the visuals unravel in correlation with Kita’s vocals; Damage Done an exercise in youthful escapism, wide-eyed, melodic and with an eye to the ocean.
Alexander’s combined the dreamy nonchalance of Aussie surf-rock with the alternative pop sounds of bands such as Haim. Damage Done is as pensive as it is perceptive – and it only enhances her growing reputation. Keep an eye out for more Kita Alexander.
