The studio almost acts as the delivery room of a song.
It’s where the magic happens, and a song goes from a flicker of an idea to full blown result. London duo, San Scout, they craft their electro-pop gems in makeshift studios across the city.
Be it factories, office blocks or care homes; all they need is four walls and the desire to make a song. Writing, producing and mixing everything between the two of them, there’s a definite identity to San Scout and latest single, ‘Hold Fire’ trademarks it. Soulful vocals and intertwining harmonies weave themselves into lustful beats and subtle RnB rhythms. Layered with flickers of darkness designed for night-time listening, nifty hooks tuck into the subconscious and glitches are felt in the tips of your fingers and running down your spine.
The environment of their makeshift studios have allowed the pair to reinvent their old songs. Building their “Off-Cut” series, San Scout never settle and never stop working for fresh ideas. They talk us through the studios that allow it to happen.
