London rapper Loyle Carner played a sold out Camden KOKO last night as part of his full UK headline tour.
With his lyrically emotive, jazz infused j dilla esque sounding hip hop, the 20 year old controlled the room playing tracks ‘BFG’, ‘Aint nothing changed’, ‘Florence’ and previewing a new track produced by Tom Misch from his upcoming Debut album. The show almost cathartic for Loyle, linking each song together with the stories which inspired them whilst brandishing his late fathers Cantona shirt throughout. Finishing on his latest single ‘No CD’, Carner’s performance showed the raw talent he possesses and the reason why he is one of the growing names in UK hip hop.
