How to make streetwear for an enlightened mind

Merrill+Forbes have shared first images from their SS18 collection, in which they take inspiration from the mystical kingdom of Bhutan.

See, for the NYC-based brand, streetwear should come with necessary levels of spiritual enlightenment; in the right clothes, you can feel just as at home exploring the furthest corners of the world as you do navigating your own neighbourhood.

The forthcoming drop takes inspiration from traditional prayers flags, with each colour representing a different element (earth, iron, fire, water and wood) – as the wind blows through the flag, it carries and spreads peace, strength and positive energy into the world. Which is nice, init.

Environmentally friendly and utilising materials for technical innovation (bamboo and hemp, most notably), the collection is completely of the time, too. Take a look at a few images from the lookbook below – and visit the Merrill+Forbes website here.
