Nothing in this realm is original.
Cue UK brand Nothing New, here to do something about it. The hotly-tipped London label combines a love for music and art, looking to the past to “refresh, reinvent and reintroduce” bygone aesthetic that was lost at the expense of rampant, trend-driven consumerism. It’s an entangled, multifaceted mantra, that dismisses any kind of postmodern criticism; new isn’t always better, old isn’t always dated.
Nothing New’s first event sees the movement taking to North West London on Friday for ‘This Groove Won’t Stop’, featuring sounds in the form of old school hip-hop, soul, disco and funk music alongside the brand’s vinyl manipulated tees. This is forward thinking nostalgia, reimagined in technicolour.
Check out the event, at the Tone Coffee Shop in Willesden Green, here.
