Superpoze wants to make music physical again.
As one of the most interesting names coming out of the current French electronic scene, the producer – real name Gabriel Legeleux – has been an exciting young blip on many a radar for a little while. Now, however, he’s making even greater strides: into the world of art.
For We The Living, which takes its name from his eponymous album, is an immersive visual arts project that sees Superpoze construct an imaginary aesthetic narrative about the end of the world. Comprised of a collection of curated ‘artefacts’, eight video screens, the record libretto and a piano (which visitors are able to play), the instillation blends sight and sound in its exploration of tangible musicality.
The exhibition is showing at Paris’s Danysz Gallery until November 25.
