With his latest bop 100 Ways about the uncontrollable existence of love and time, Jackson Wang proves his knack for producing back-to-back hits.
Global megastar and rapper Jackson Wang follows up his solo debut album MIRRORS with breathtaking new single “100 Ways” released via 88rising.
The Chinese K-pop star of popular septet GOT7 proves with his latest outing that he’s found solid ground as a solo artist, both sonically and lyrically. The single, which explores relatable theme of “human inability to control both falling in love and the passage of time,“ is only made better by the stunning visuals that accompany it.
Directed by long-time collaborator Daniel Cloud Campos (Paramore, Panic! at the Disco), the video depicts Jackson as a fearless warrior on a journey to reunite with his beloved in the face of adversity. Cloud’s imaginative visuals paired with Jackson’s masterful choreography alongside world-renowned dance crew the Kinjaz make a feast for the eyes.
This track is Jackson’s first release in 2020, and it’s already a massive hit boasting more than 160 million streams worldwide. It follows a busy 2019 that saw him deliver several streaming hits such as”I Love You 3000 II” with Stephanie Poetri and “Walking” with Joji (featuring Swae Lee & Major Lazer). With tracks such as “Different Game” featuring Gucci Mane, “Fendiman” (the first record from a Chinese artist to chart No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Single Chart and Pop Chart), “Papillon” or “Okay,” Jackson is a constant chart-topper.
Whether on his solo work or his involvement in GOT7’s music, Jackson Wang is an inspiration who never fails to impress.
