We have teamed up with the innovative fashion house to get to know some of the UK’s top trailblazing artists in an all new podcast series, first up Halina Rice…
Since they launched in 1991, Armani Exchange has been one of the most vital trend-setting brands around: inspired by street-style, subcultures and city life, who better for us to team up with to curate your new ones to watch. Having paid homage to all that music and culture has to offer for over three decades through the power of fashion, the worlds have collided in the form of a must-listen podcast, In Conversation with Armani Exchange.
Hosted by tastemaking DJ, presenter and broadcaster Emerald and in collaboration with all of us at tmrw and AWAL, the podcast introduces some of the most talented rising stars in the UK music scene. First up is London-based electronic musician and AV artist Halina Rice, making eclectic experimental music, Halina “unites elements of ambient, electronic, percussive and bass music”, her sound ranges from “evocative and melancholic soundscapes to beat-driven tracks”.
Chatting to Emerald in episode one of our brand new podcast, Halina explains that in her music and performance, she tries to “infuse it with art and tech”. The vital artist tells us how inspired she is by immersive art, “I’ve always had an interest in innovation and new ideas”. In fact, when she performs, she uses her staging to put the focus on a full immersion into art and music, “my aim is always the audience…in my shows I stand to the side a bit so they can see the screen and the visuals.”
