To celebrate the final podcast in our series, In Conversation with Armani Exchange, we went live with genre-smashing artist Joe Hertz.
Since they launched in 1991, Armani Exchange has been one of the most vital trend-setting brands around: inspired by street-style, subcultures and city life, who better for us to team up with to curate your new ones to watch. Having paid homage to all that music and culture has to offer for over three decades through the power of fashion, the worlds have collided in the form of a must-listen podcast, In Conversation with Armani Exchange.
Hosted by tastemaking DJ, presenter and broadcaster Emerald and in collaboration with all of us at tmrw and AWAL, the podcast has introduced some of the most talented rising stars in the UK music scene. For our final episode, we headed back to Armani Exchange’s all-new London store to go live with musical artist Joe Hertz.
As we took over the Armani Exchange Regent Street store, we brought out some of London’s most creative creatives, influential influencers, and arty artists to celebrate our cult podcast series along with some of our favourite people. Last but not least in our line up of vibrant music makers was Joe Hertz, who chatted to our podcast host Emerald about what it’s all about. “Expressing yourself is the core of it all…” the artist told a captive audience, “Sitting down on my own and creating something that excites me, and helps me understand who I am.”
In fact, for Joe Hertz it was always about making “soulful stuff”, although known to be a boundary-breaking DJ and producer, for Joe what it’s all about it finding his drive to create and following that initiative. “You’ve just got to have a good idea,” he told Emerald in our live podcast, “nurture it, and put it out when you’re excited about it.”
