On the back of a successful few years, No Rome has today dropped his newest track with fellow Filipino artists Beabadoobee and Jay Som. The track, in his alt-pop style, blends shining synths with a backdrop of guitar and R’n’B beats. Co-produced with his long-time collaborator George Daniel, from The 1975, this casual and laid-back track is more proof of 22-year-old No Rome’s unrelenting talents.
Thematically, the track recalls the struggles of an ongoing relationship and the frustrations that go along with that. Sonically, it is one of his more relaxed releases, soothing yet still emotive, and it is the second in what we expect to be a series of collaborative efforts to be released over the next few months.
Having been supported and called 2020’s Number 1 artist to watch by Vogue and dubbed “a muse” by the infamous Matty Healy of The 1975, No Rome is certainly not slowing down. With over 100 million streams globally, this latest track will catapult him even further into the music-sphere, as well as acting an easy-going track, perfect for the summer.
Penned as one to watch, we certainly look forward to what No Rome has to offer us next.
