According to Spencer, “Stay” was written in less than an hour one late night in the studio with co-writer/producer Ryan Daly, who also co-wrote and produced “Red Flags” by Mimi Webb, “We Go Down Together” by Dove Cameron, “Drinks” by CYN and is also the producer behind the most recent albums by Fitz and the Tantrums.

“It felt more like we were jamming than we were trying to write a song. This song is special to me because it really captures that raw fun energy that we had in the room while making it and I hope that listeners will be able to feel that whenever they listen to it.” – Spencer Ludwig

Spencer Ludwig began his career alongside the multi-platinum band Capital Cities where he showcased his exceptional talent and contributed to their success. Their most recent collaboration titled “Summertime With U,” was widely acclaimed and well-received. One of Spencer’s notable achievements is earning a Latin Grammy for his songwriting and performance on Fonseca’s album “Agustin.” In 2018 Spencer decided to establish Trumpet Records, since then, his songs have seen tremendous success with over a hundred placements in advertisements, films, and TV shows. Some notable examples include “Step On Out” being featured in a Chevrolet commercial, “Je Ne Sais Quoi” appearing in a Lowe’s advertisement, and “Best Life” being chosen for the New Jersey Lottery ad. Later in 2019, he became the face of Tommy Hilfiger’s global denim campaign, which highlighted his appeal as a brand ambassador. These placements have not only increased his exposure but also displayed his ability to capture audiences across multiple mediums. He also provided his incredible trumpet for Travis Scott’s album “Utopia” as heard on “Telekinesis” and worked side by side with Boy In Space in the song “Ciao.”

Since starting his solo career in 2015, Spencer’s professional journey has been nothing short of amazing. With his meteoric rise to fame, he shows no signs of slowing down.
