The track is the second single from Jack Antonoff’s official soundtrack for ‘The New Look’ - the forthcoming new series on Apple TV+.
The series focuses on fashion designers Christian Dior, Pierre Balmain, Cristóbal Balenciaga and Coco Chanel navigating the horrors of World War || while launching modern fashion.
The soundtrack was curated & produced by no other than Antonoff, and features covers by artists including Bleachers, Florence + The Machine, Lana del Rey, The 1975, Beabadoobee, Nick Cave, Perfume Genius and more.
The 1975 come together on a 2 minute long track that originated in 1913 as a cradle song. In the past, it has been covered my multiple artists such as Frank Sinatra and Vera Lynn. The 1975 add their own spin to the cover and use less lyrics than in the original. It’s a haunting yet beautiful story about letting go, saying goodbye and reuniting again at an uncertain point in time.
‘Now Is The Hour’ is out now on all platforms.
