A vision of the future as seen by two boundary-shifting brands.
The eyewear world is the perfect paradigm for experimentation. Glasses make statements – they don’t just frame faces but change them, and give a pop of boldness to more low-key, neutral outfits.
Often, this innovation takes form in something futuristic, like this new time-warped collab from Komono and Daily Paper. To get you up to hyper-speed: Belgian label Komono is one of the most smartly designed eyewear brands out there right now, while Daily Paper’s Amsterdam-based afro-inspired designs are shaking-up streetwear.
As expected with such a powerful pairing, nothing’s done in halves. Sleek silhouettes meet hefty temples teeming with character. Dark smoke lenses provide blacked-out window moments of cool, while chunky Italian acetate freights the frames with substance.
The colourways – for men and women – are equally striking. On offer are Racing Red, Tortoise and Black designs – all plated with silver Daily Paper logos.
Don’t worry, either – they’re not at the literal expense of function. All models boast 100% UV protection and polarized lenses, meaning they’re shades actually made for the sun – not just shade.
We’d love to see another collab between these two in the future – Daily Paper is smashing it right now, as you’ll remember if you caught this link-up with Kida Cudz. All eyes on that, etc etc.
