MEET THE MAKER BEHINDTHAT KYLIE LOOK

by

Get to know the brand who created that yellow bodysuit and tweety hat look from our bespoke Kylie Jenner zine.

We’d never be so bolshy as to claim that we broke the internet, but our bespoke Kylie Jenner zine definitely blew away a few worldwide cobwebs when it dropped a couple of weeks back. It’s little wonder when you take a peek at what’s inside: it sees the OG IG it girl flaunt ten totally new looks, months before the pieces are released for us mere mortals.

One ensemble attracted a whole lot of attention: the all-yellow fit featured on our cover. The brand behind it? GCDS (God Can’t Destroy Streetwear), hyped up for its blocky streetwear, cartoonish, kitsch motifs and candy-coloured palettes (think Lazy Oaf, relocated to Milan, on a tip of Iceberg). Taken from their FW21-22 collection, the look sees knee-high yellow boots paired with a matching bodysuit and topped with faux fur mohair Tweety hat.

The rest of the collection, first featured earlier this year, is equally delectable. Rave-ready suiting, PVC trousers and off-white blazers are sweetened with sugary confections, dyed in artificial colours of birdie yellow, strawberry milk pink and baby blue. Mini bags, belts and bras finish each look with a cute, glitzy touch, ready to take you from club to club, to club, to club. To afterparty.

This weekend just gone, we caught Kylie receiving a miniaturised version of the bodysuit on her Stories for her daughter Stormi. Fingers crossed we’ll get an adorable twinning snap of the two appearing soon; but for now, feast your eyes on the full series of shots of the GCDS look below…
