TWO STEPS AHEAD:REEBOK DROPS TWO NEW COLLABS

by

We wish we had four feet.

You know the you-wait-ages-for-one-bus-and-two-come-at-once phenomenon?

Sure, we may have not been waiting too long since the last Reebok kicks we covered, but we’re being treated with two new stylings at once – and both pairs are absolute double-deckers.

Kickings things off is a link-up with streetwear designer Eric Emanuel. Titled the ‘Club C’, it takes a back-to-school approach that’s a heady hit of nostalgia.

Emanuel reckons it’s the first ‘everyday shoe’ he’s worked on, and we couldn’t agree more – it’s the kind of pair that you’ll quickly start to live in. The body is a simple, all-white premium leather, while college-inspired pops of colour add a preppy touch to proceedings.

Also, absolute props from us for the titles of the colourways. You get to choose between shades like Energy Orange, Regal Purple, Cherry Tomato and Smoky Taupe, which should really be the character names of the next Cluedo update.

A one-off Eric Emanuel emblem tops things off on the shoes’ insoles, while his classic logo is debossed on the heels.

All four colourways are available to cop just in time for college on August 14 via the Eric Emanuel website, while a select three go live on Reebok a week later.

The latest instalment in the Classic Leather Legacy project – a blend of retro running silhouettes and Reebok’s Classic Leather – sees Cali brand PLEASURES get stuck in.

Co-founder Alex James has laced together the colours of the Joshua Tree: grey, beige and alabaster.

Take PLEASURES’ rock-inspired roots into consideration, and it makes perfect sense: the Joshua Tree has hosted the likes of Eagles of Death Metal, Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys, so mythologizing it in shoe form is pretty badass indeed.

Tagged at exactly one-hundred bucks, the collab is available to cop on PLEASURES on August 15 and Reebok exactly a week later.
Well that’s back to school and back to mosh-pits sorted, whenever that returns. If only we had four feet…
