Blumarine appoints new creative directorWalter Chiapponi

Walter Chiapponi takes on the role of Creative Director at Blumarine.

Chiapponi will present his first collection for the Italian brand during Milan Fashion Week in February 2024, as announced by Blumarine. As the creative chief at Blumarine, he succeeds Nicola Brognano, whose departure was announced in mid-October.

The Milanese designer comes from the Italian fashion house Tod’s, where he served as the chief designer. After studying at the European Institute of Design, he began his career in the late ’90s, working at that time with Italian fashion designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua. He has also worked at iconic houses such as Givenchy, Valentino, Gucci, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta.
