Eighties tennis style, Wes Anderson inspo, sustainable packaging: is this cribbed from one of our dreams?

With the football very much being on right now, it’s easy to forget that the tennis is, too. While Wimbledon may have its intimidatingly strict dress code for players – any trims of colour have to be 10mm, guys! – us lucky punters can go wild with our on-court fashion. So we’re feeling blessed to have this new FILA collaboration with Oliver Spencer come through, inspired by the tennis stars of the eighties and reviving archive pieces.

Oliver has taken FILA’s classic sportswear designs and run with them like a ball kid caught in the centre of the court, applying a sartorial edge to a range of polos, jackets, shorts and trousers. The pieces pop with bright reds and summery, preppy ecru tones to help you serve some serious strawberry and cream vibes. Royal blue pullovers top off the looks for a sporty, smart finish.

The creative springboard? Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaums, which we’ve shamefully not seen but features, like, a lot of red tracksuits. They’ve been given the FILA touch with navy stripes and their iconic ‘F’ logo and made super-soft thanks to a new terry-towel corduroy from Oliver Spencer.

Anything you buy is sustainably packaged and ten-percent of sales goes to the MR PORTER Health In Mind fund, dedicated to supporting mens’ mental health and backed by Movember. It’s the perfect collection to see in the summer, and be seen in, preferably while sipping a Pimm’s and applauding a jolly good shot.

The FILA x Oliver Spencer collection is out now, available via Oliver Spencer, FILA and MR PORTER. Ace! Scroll down to check out the Rankin-shot campaign below.
