CLAWS OUT:WE GOT FIRST EYES ON THE VISUALS TO NEW KITTEN TUNE ‘ME’

by

Channelling power-pop and pop-punk, Kitten’s new single is hookier than a bag of catnip.

Kitten are tearing it up right now. The LA band have been hustling with their catchy eighties inspired bangers for the last decade. But in the last few years, they’ve really found their groove. They’ve also found a mega-fan in the form of Charli XCX, who’s invited them to be her support band on several occasions, and appointed Chloe Chaidez as the guitarist of her supergroup Nasty Cherry. They’re cool cats, huh?

Their latest release ‘Me’ is like a more mature Avril Lavigne classic, which is a big fucking compliment. Its co-producer is Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, which should give you a good idea of the sound, too. Featuring an addictive chorus and badass rock backing, it’s a heady hit of teenage angst that any age can relate to. The visuals see Chloe wake-up to a barrage of barrel lenses before some properly kitsch retro vibes kick in.

It’s properly ace – trust ‘Me’.
